DARK GAIA'S PROFILE
Dark Gaia

I develop games and I write. I have a Bachelor of Arts in creative writing and journalism. I like writing speculative fiction, horror and literary fiction, sometimes all blended together. You can find elements of my writing in my games, because I consider my games to be stories just that happen to have gameplay.
I post updates on my Facebook and Twitter:

Legionwood: Tale Of The Two Swords
That's a very old bug, and it isn't possible to fix it. It's just the way the followers interact with events on the map.
In RPG Maker VX Ace, there was a much better follower system in the engine out of the box, so Legionwood 2 doesn't have the issue.

Mythos: The Beginning
Hey everyone! Guess what? Beta testing begins tomorrow!
Will you be one of the lucky ten people chosen randomly from the list? You'll have to wait to find out...
Seriously though, this means Mythos is one step closer to release, and so I can now start thinking about an actual release date. Once beta testing is underway, I'll have some good news.
Stay tuned!

Legionwood 2: Rise of the Eternal's Realm
Trial saves will work with the full version, but you have to copy/paste them to and from the respective folders yourself. I'm not sure where the Steam version keeps its saves, but if you paste the saves in there they should work just fine.
Not sure about the resolution issue on Steam as I don't use Steam and can't check it (the publisher handles the Steam end of things) but it is supposed to be in standard 640x480 resolution. Nonetheless, I have heard that RPG Maker's Windowed Mode scales a bit strangely on some monitors so full screen mode will make sure it displays the correct aspect ratio.

Frequently Asked Questions
Hi again. Luck Charms don't stack, as far as I am aware (they do in Legionwood 2, but I'm pretty sure the LW1 engine works differently).
As for the Origin Blade, I had to at least attempt to "balance" it :p

Frequently Asked Questions
They're side quest items only. Not relevant to the main plot at all. It's meant as something for people who love to explore to uncover. If you collect all of them, you can fight the optional superboss and unlock a slightly different ending.
Mythos: The Beginning
Hey, horror fans! I just thought I'd drop in to give you a small progress report that isn't quite big enough to warrant a new blog post.
Mythos: The Beginning is now 60% complete! Although I've spent less time than I wanted to working on it over the last few weeks due to waiting to get set up on my new gaming computer, I've still managed to make some progress -- however small -- towards the eventual release.
At this point, it looks like I'll be starting the beta testing period some time around mid August (if not a little later) and a tentative deadline for release is September.
Alongside the game, I've also been working on Mythos: The Eternal Curse, a short novella that contains some backstory on one of the major antagonists. As Mythos was originally conceived as a sequel to a short story I had published a while ago, I thought it would be prudent to update and expand said short story and include it as a little bonus with the game.
That's it for now, but stay tuned!

Legionwood 2: Rise of the Eternal's Realm
After Mythos I'll be taking a break to finish off my next novel, but there will be more games coming next year. Legionwood 3 will probably emerge eventually as well.
Legionwood 2: Rise of the Eternal's Realm
To be honest, I originally did intend for there to be some more after the volcano. The original plan was to have this game be "Volume One" and then continue the adventure in a "Volume Two". However, given how long it took me to actually finish Legionwood 2, I soon realised that any potential second episode would probably take just as long, and I didn't want to leave the story unresolved, so I extended the existing endings to resolve the main conflict, and added the two Reboot endings to answer the questions that were left unanswered.
It was basically a choice between rushing the ending to actually have an ending, or leaving the game unresolved for a very long time.
I do have plans to maybe do a DLC/expansion at some point that picks up after the volcano and covers the journey to Charn leading to the endings, but it isn't going to happen for a while at this point.
There will definitely be more games like Legionwood 2 coming, though. Many elements of Legionwood 2 are being carried over into Mythos: The Beginning, for example, which is actually using Legionwood 2 as a code base.

Yes, the volcano is the final dungeon. Also, you can get the Stone Cup from the old woman at the Corinthe Farms.
